Wow! These are sooooo cool! Getting the proper 'response' from speaker captures when recording directly via a load box or with software amps has alway been a little tricky. The air and movement seem to be elusive. These change the way that everything reacts and they have been so much fun to use! That whole movement that is sometimes missing from Impulse Responses is right there! Especially so when you start adding the room sounds and the low end captures that the guys have done! Kudos! Amazing!
I’m a bedroom player and I had been searching for a realistic sound using IRs for a long time. Recently, I bought a tube amp, but the playing experience still didn’t feel quite right. By chance, I came across some YouTube reviews about speaker profiles, and after purchasing Quantum Speaker, my tube amp started to sound much more dynamic and realistic — even through headphones! This is definitely a worthwhile purchase.
IRs all well and good but this (and the technology these madlads have come up with in general) is just a completely different beast. I'd prefer just 1 mic capture plus the SUB to pretty much any amount of different IRs any day, thats how convincing it feels to me. Massive props for coming up with something like that. Absolutely amazing.
Previously i have bought some ir’s but then I tried the quantum speaker and it’s a whole another level. The dynamic response is incredible and now i can have tones that need that cranked amp and speaker interaction in my bedroom!!
