The reference-point for what players now call transparent overdrive — a drive that adds gain, harmonic density, and forward presence while keeping the underlying guitar and amp character intact. A big part of why the Centaur became "the one" is that its gain structure is designed to feel like the amp simply got more energetic and more alive, rather than "pedalised." We used an original silver "no horsie" Centaur from around 2006.

28 profiles · format: NC-DRV-KLN-NDX2-XX-D**-T** — Drive (D) at 0, 5, 7 or 10; Tone (T) at 0, 2, 4, 5, 6, 8 or 10. The extra D7 position captures the start of the Klon's drive zone, where the circuit transitions from clean boost into harmonic overdrive.
