A Brief Biography
This Neutron Core pack was created using the actual 1977 Rose-Morris Vox AC30 Top Boost used by Danny Wilson of Grand Drive throughout the band’s entire recording and touring career.
It is a definitive example of the Rose-Morris AC30 — the most recorded and widely-heard version of the amp in history.
 
While JMI-era AC30s are often referenced by collectors and purists, it was the Rose-Morris era version that dominated the professional recording and performance landscape from its arrival in the late 1970s through the 1990s. These amps were not collector pieces, but professional tools — built to be louder, tighter, more consistent, and more reliable than the fragile 1960s designs.
This is the version of the AC30 that ended up on the vast majority of hit recordings.

Indeed, Paul McCartney, the last remaining Beatle to tour globally at scale, is currently using Rose-Morris era amps for his shows — and that alone should tell you all you need to know. After all, it’s safe to assume he has plenty to choose from.
 
Many professional players actively chose these amps for all the reasons above, and some even modified earlier JMI units to match the Rose-Morris specification.
